Last week the Federal Reserve released the results of their stress test, conducted on the 19 largest banks that received bailout loans nearly three years ago. The report confirmed that the banks have recovered sufficiently and are now in a position to lend while being able to withstand another economic challenge. News closer to home would also seem to indicate a progression in relief for those at the bottom end of the tax bracket.

"It's important for the financial system to acknowledge there is a great deal of anger directed at it" said Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit recently. Here is something for every American citizen fed up with inbred party politics and business as usual, should take a good look at. While local protests and public displays of displeasure may get some media attention for a short while, they typically fizzle out when the media moves on to the next big “thing”. The events themselves, after being patronized by party rhetoric, amount to little more than distant echos, barely discernable in the halls of our government. Nothing pierces the thick hide of the elephant, or the donkey, and the in-fighting and power struggles within our government continue unabated. ...
